Joe, I certainly can't even start to tell you what to do with your
money. But, there is this open forum here called SI and ain't it great!
So, here goes. Oh, also, this one is called IDTI-Dark Horse For '96.
It's not called IDTI bulls only, or, IDTI bears stay away before I get flamed for being honest.
IDTI is a good semi company. We've used their SRAMs, albeit in small quantities, in our
large scale computers, where reliability is #1, followed by cost/performance. They work good.
To make a long story short, however, SRAMs are as much a commodity as DRAMs, and the SRAM
market is dominated by Asian companies (Hitachi, Fujitsu, Toshiba...). These companies are
about the size of General Electric. That's big, but the SRAM divisions are held accountable and they compete
as if they were small. BTW, we've uses a LOT of Hitachi and Fujitsu SRAMs because they are considered THE most reliable.
Where's that leave the small USA guys? Probably one or 2 of them probably continues to lose market share and finally
goes chapter 11.

Liz
