[ This sounds pretty familiar. Who do we know that stabs his people in the back and can't get decent people to work for him? ]

Sen. Amy Klobuchar is accused by former employees of mistreating and abusing her staff, according to Yahoo News.

On the day Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) announced her presidential candidacy, reports surfaced that she was routinely demeaning to her employees, according to Yahoo News. Klobuchar is the fifth woman to enter the Democratic primary for the 2020 presidential race.

During the announcement of her candidacy, Klobuchar said, “We are all tired of the shutdowns and the showdowns, the gridlock and the grandstanding.” Klobucher said she would unite America in contrast to Trump, who has divided Americans.

Some employees are now accusing her of mistreating and abusing her staff, which would make her unfit to be President. Many staffers said the workplace was constantly filled with fear, and Klobuchar was cruel to her staffers, even humiliated them. One former staffer said that a minor mistake could lead to a “multi-day affair.”

One former staffer said said that they would not be able to vote for her in the democratic primaries. “The way she treats staff is disqualifying.”

The congressional research site LegiStorm has confirmed that "Klobuchar has one of the highest rates of staff turnover in Congress." This led to Politico calling her one of “the worst bosses” in Congress.

Another former staffer said that Klobuchar asked her staff to clean her house, wash her dishes, pack for travel, and make travel arrangements for her husband.

“Yes, I can be tough, and, yes, I can push people,” Klobuchar told members of the media after her Sunday announcement.

These rumors are potentially dangerous for Klobuchar’s presidential prospects.

“If you can’t treat the people closest to you with respect,” one former staffer said, “I don’t trust you to treat the American people with respect.”
