Tell that to the 25,000 people who will now not have jobs. Or the local business owners who will not see the windfall of new business. You are truly clueless about how economies work. Business is not a zero sum game with winners and losers. Business is most often a win win, with the business winning, the shareholders winning, the employees winning, the newly employed winning, the city winning, the cities residences winning, and the local businesses winning. The fact that you cannot see that is testament to how ignorant you are of how the real world works.

The Cubans have a saying, "Long live Socialism! We are all equal in our poverty." No truer words were ever spoken. You Socialists will be ever so happy in your poverty, but rest assured you will have your equality. For us Capitalists, we will be rich, retired, and we will have lifted up millions of others with us, as we made our money.

Capitalism, ultimately, helps the most people. Socialism, without fail, destroys lives. New York is just the latest example.
