Commentator Dana Loesch ripped New Jersey Sen. Robert Menendez for threatening to call the U.S. Capitol Police on a reporter for asking him about the Green New Deal.

An audio recording documented the moment a reporter for the Daily Caller encountered Menendez at a Metro station and asked him about the sweeping legislation some have called socialist.

"I won't answer questions from the Daily Caller period. You're trash," Menendez responded.
