You must vote for the lesser of two evils sometimes.
It's called smart, pragmatic, ... the other way is a pure stupidity.

The so-called "protest vote", what is it good for?
Say, Jill Stein voters, Bernie Sanders protest voters, are they being heard by Trump?

Trump was voted in by Trump voters (responsibility 1.0) and by the "protest" voters (Jill Stein or anyone else or abstention) (Responsibility 0.5).

I think you are a pure waste.

Too bad. I won't vote for another bad candidate to get rid of this one.
