How bad is it going to get for Trump?
For Trump, it will get much worse as we go forward.
Why?
Because Trump is not a remorseful or caring individual, and does not understand what cause and effect is on an intuitive level. You might say that part of his brain doesn’t function, and it likely never has.
This means that as New York State and Federal investigators put the noose around his neck (figuratively), Trump will not concede or resign his position, but instead will lash out, firing more staff that he can’t find good replacements for out of paranoia, and publicly throwing anyone under the bus that threatens his delusion of ultimate power.
As things get worse for Trump, they may get worse for America. Trump has been entrusted with power and authority that was never intended for someone as straight up crazy as the Donald. He believes he is smarter and more capable than anyone else, and acts on that delusion while trampling anyone in the way.
Like the fox that chews its own leg off to escape a trap, Trump will likely do the same, possibly throwing his wife and youngest son to the wolves, maybe his older children as well.
Ultimately, Trump will die lonely, penniless, his family in jail, his business in ruins, and his name will go down in history as one of the most infamous swindlers who ever lived. That will be his legacy. If there was bets being made, I would put money on this outcome, because Trump will never surrender or admit he is wrong, even if it means destroying everything around him.
The only truly unknown consequence will be the damage to the American people, and the reputation of the country. It’s already going to be a long climb out of the hole that Trump has dug America into on the world stage, let’s hope that is the worst problem Americans will have to face in the coming years |
