John,

One step towards understanding RedBrick's potential is to investigate the product niche they are competing in. Who buys RedBrick products? I know that they are used in the financial industry for data mining and OLAP type analysis. E.g., mortgage backed securities trading and other asset backed structured products use a lot of data to figure out pre-payment models and such. Why isn't Oracle used? Simple, they couldn't handle the data size and didn't perform as well.

But selling into a sparse high end market will probably not generate a ton of revenue. There must be more to the story. Does RedBrick publish a customer list which we could pick through?
