Well, the thing is ...

.... the Corporate Tax Rate in the USA is 21% ....

And this is what AMAZON paid in taxes in its last Annuals ....

Soooo .... on a Gross Turnover of $232,88 BILLION, AMAZON had a Pretax Profit of $11,26 Billion, about 4.9% (fairly low IMO. But there again, Bezos has always been about getting Market Share). And on that Pretax profit it paid 10.51% INCOME TAX .... About 50% of the Corporate Tax Rate !!

Now that is very likely a Legitimate amount because one can be sure that Bezos has an ARMY of Tax Consultants working to ensure that he is AVOIDING TAX, which is legal, as opposed to EVADING TAX.

BUT THE THING IS, that the Tax Authorities should be LOOKING INTO THE LOOPHOLES THAT BEZOS IS USING TO AVOID TAX AND TO CLOSE AS MANY OF THEM AS POSSIBLE SO THAT THERE ARE FEWER OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE FOR THE LIKES OF BEZOS, AND OTHER MAJOR CORPORATIONS, TO AVOID PAYING THEIR FAIR SHARE OF TAXES !!
