I hadn't thought about the tax loss selling angle, but it would seem that the 5 weeks on the left were very "herky jerky". The market couldn't seem to be making up its mind, huge swings from week to week. Up 32.5 w/o 11/30, then down 35.2 w/o 12/7, then up 0.8 w/o 12/14, and then the final "crash" of 44.0 w/o 12/21. And I should have pointed out the w/o 11/23, down -23.1.

Researching back to 2016/17/18, there was one 11 week period, 12/30/16 - 3/17/17 of solid green at the bottom line totaling 52.7. Then one more 8 week period, 9/8/17 - 11/3/17, all green totaling 68.5. There were no 8 week "green" periods in 2018. The volatility of this past 13 week period has been huge.
