You don't even listen to your own party. So the premise of your entire post is suspect, because I can prove that your post is factually inaccurate. You say nobody is talking about doing away with free markets and taking over the oil industry and that universal health care is not socialism.
Destroying the remnants of the free market in health insurance and having a full scale government take over of the health care industry is EXACTLY what Socialism is all about. AOC and Bernie Sanders want Medicare for All. Kamala Harris is in the same camp and said this when asked if she would go so far as to destroy companies like United Health Care and the remainder of the free market in health insurance: "Kamala Harris vows to get rid of private health care plans: 'Let's eliminate all of that. Let's move on'"
AOC said this about her desire to get rid of the free market oil and gas industry with her Green New Deal, as well as the getting rid of the rest of fossil fuels: “There’s no debate as to whether we should continue producing fossil fuels. There’s no debate. We should not,” Ocasio-Cortez said. “Every single scientific consensus points to that.”
So the three most popular Socialists in your party are advising and pushing for Socialism and every other candidate for President on the Democrat side has openly published Socialist policies they plan to implement. It's no surprise to anyone, except evidently you.
As far as Health Care being a right. Well, let's stop and think about that for a minute. How will you pay for it? It's going to cost $32.6 Trillion over 10 years, according to a Bloomberg report. So that will add $3.3 Trillion to a deficit of $1 trillion per year that we're already running. $4.3 Trillion per year deficits would increase our national debt by 20% in the first year. It would double our national debt to $44 trillion over 5 years and to $55 trillion over 10 years.
Or we could tax Americans to pay for it. That means, if we have 150 million working Americans and about 128 million households, we'd have to tax each worker an additional $21,333 per year or $25,000 per household! The median household income as of 2018 was $56,516 per household. So you'd have to tax that 44% of their gross income to pay for it, on top of the other taxes they already pay, so let's say a round 50% of their gross income. Would anyone in their right mind vote for that, if the truth was actually told to them? Hell no. That would be committing financial suicide for their family.
The math doesn't work, you lunatic. Socialism never has a sound mathematical basis for it, because it is a false utopian fantasy. Wake up, you moron. |
