I think some of the more prominent cancellations where not of non-performing shows.

But

1 - I think it likely they didn't have a choice in the matter.

and

2 - I can't be totally sure about that, I don't have any real data on ratings or on costs for the show (where even a popular show could be non-performing if it costs to much).
