Construction of the wall can start immediately
45 Don Surber by Don Surber

Forget the disinformation about the budget deal, Joel Pollak of Breitbart News reported President Trump now has $8 billion to spend on the wall. Construction can begin immediately.

He joins Paul Bedard of the Washington Examiner in ignoring the Democrat and Uniparty spin about proposed poison pills. They did not make it. Had they, President Trump would have vetoed the budget resolution and told the world why.

Donald John Trump did not become president on the crease of his pant. He has signed a deal or two before.

Pollak wrote, "President Donald Trump can likely begin building new sections of the border barrier, despite a federal lawsuit filed by California and 15 other states on Monday challenging the the national emergency declaration he issued Friday.

"The reason: only some — about $3.6 billion — of the roughly $8 billion Trump wants to spend on the barrier actually requires an emergency to be declared in order to be allocated. The rest, theoretically, can be spent regardless — especially the $1.4 billion Congress approved, though it is subject to some restrictions that may not apply to the rest of the money."

This comes from Republican Senator Mike Lee of Utah, via spokesman Conn Carroll.

If a court finds the states have standing, he can issue a temporary restraining order on the $3.6 billion in the emergency declaration.

But according to the lawsuit itself (ha ha ha) President Trump can spend $601 million from the Treasury Forfeiture Fund, up to $2.5 billion from defense funds transferred for Support for Counterdrug Activities, and the $1.4 billion in the budget deal.

That's $4.5 billion. Add the emergency money and you have a shade over $8 billion -- or a third of the estimated $25 billion needed for the wall.

Environmental issues were removed on the wall by Congress in 2006, and Teddy Roosevelt made the border federal land.

Time to start installing the wall.
