"For teams on a losing record, no point to remain a fan."

A fan is a fan, thru thin and thinner. I'm a Niner fan. That won't change. I was for the Dodgers when they were in Brooklyn, but they went to the wrong town, so all of my friends became Giants fans. I quit paying attention after college, for about 30 years. I started paying attention again just about the time that the earthquake postponed the World Series. I'm hard-wired for SF over Oakland, in every way on every day.

The last hoops team I really followed was Wooden's UCLA teams. Then the Warriors made in to the playoffs, and now I watch all their games. I suspect I'm just a fair-weather fan, but right now the weather is perfect.
