You bet Jeff and i bet all agree with the temendous opportunity that is existing to serve the food industry.

FYI- Everyone..
GRAS status for Ozone also means that Cyclopss
or any other corporation need not get FDA approval
for the use of Ozone in Meat and produce plants. They
however need USDA approval for the use of Ozone in Meat
and poultry processing. This also requires a pilot test
to demonstrate effectiveness in each individual custom installation.
The time table states that USDA should give approval within 60 days
of the application for one for the use of Ozone in the
Meat producer's complex. OSHA approval is also needed in
regards to the use of Ozone in these locations and and that
process takes another 20 days. The two could be clubbed together also.

As far as the use of Ozone on produce goes there are no
guidelines available in written and Cyclopss is pursuing the
opportunity to develop a set of protocols regarding the use
of Ozone in processing applications.

I will go on to tell you all an experience. I was on a flight abroad
and the person sitting next to my seat dropped tomato juice on me.
He was very apologetic and introduced himself to be the director of
a mid-size food processing corp.

Their main area of concentration was seafood.
He explained to me that off-late the rules have become extremely strict in the US for seafood imports and even more stringent in Europe. Latin America is one of the largest exporters of certain types of seafood to Europe and US.
These guys are not incredible but unbelievable. They are planning on keeping the product alive in fish tanks in the ship till the product
is shocked. This is a lobor intensive process. Fresh water has to be
introduced every 3 hours as the water gets polluted by ammonia which the live creatures secrete. When they are near the port close to Europe etc,. they would shock the product and package it after chlorinating the product in the fish tank itself. This requires people monitoring the the water in the tanks constantly and checking pH levels in the water every 3 hours.
When the ship docks at the port the authorities perform
extensive testing on the product to ensure that there is no harmful
bacteria, toxicity and most important of all any damage to the nutrients.
Bacteria goes along with all seafood and this is no joke it gets infected with it within 4-6 hours after the product is shocked how much ever precaution these guys take to prevent it. The bacteria feasts and depletes the proteins in the sea product. One of the most important checks authorities perform at the
port is to see if the protein content has changed. If there is any problem that seafood is dumped in to the Sea.
He also had an alternative method of processing. They would go off shore where they have processing plants and after a chlorine wash they blast freeze the product and ship it off to its destination.
These offshore plants are in remote location far from civilization. They
generate their own electricity using generators and they spend a lot of money in their maintenance. The industry per him is always on the lookout for an economical solution that appeals to the public. Irradiation is out of question in this area of food processing.

However he was not even aware of the Ozone solution. After some discussion about Ozone and other options he was very interested in the prospects if it could help him cut the costs and give him a viable option to pursue.

What i am trying to put through is a lot of people in the food sector
still are not very familiar with this technology except those individuals
who are well read. There will be a lot more exposure to media in the near future and this technology should pick up some steam. All it takes is time and the dedication folks at Cyclopss are putting in. That is why the company is going a long way to educate folks on the benefits of the Ozone technology and this will be a reality soon.

Regards,

Sri.
