Woody, I can't agree with you this time.

I don't see how Medicare for all would only double the cost - for several reasons.

Now, a worker has to pay a rather hefty percent of his wages his whole working life, and keep paying a hefty monthly fee in order to collect on it.

And now, one has to be 65 years old to collect - which is at least at the 2/3 mark of most lifespans. Therefore, if "all" means all, it would begin at birth without a dime paid in and continue for the whole lifespan.

And how many of that "all" would ever pay a damned dime for collecting it?

And finally, how many days of paying for "all" would pass before most of the medical community would refuse to work for the peanuts Medicare pays them?

And one more finally - even if all the medical personnel agreed to work for peanuts, how long before the whole financial system collapses?
