Addi. You are right, the western civilization don't really give
a lot of attention to the terrorists attacks in Algeria. SUNW, MSFT
going up and down couple points could mean thousands of dollars in
our pockets, while several hundred lives in Algeria probably meant
nothing in terms of dollars and cents to us.

You know, some times I wonder whether lives in 3rd world countries
mean as much as lives in 1st world country. If thousands of people
die in India, China, Iran because of famine, earthquake, or some other
natural diasters, it hardly made any blips in our news headlines. If
the same thing happens in US, Germany, Britain, it would be like the
top story of the year. But even in our Western society, lives aren't
equal either. I bet the society will treat Bill Gates daughter
differently than yours or my daughter. I watched Titantic over the
weekend. In the movie, the 1st class passengers had a much better
chance to get on the emergency live boats than the 3rd class
passengers. There are still social classification in this society,
maybe not to the extend of 1912 Britain. Oh, well, that is just life.
I don't like it, but I have to live with it. Now get back to SUNW...
