This is a very 'small' system when you look from outside:


Global warming is a "global" phenomenon. Also, averaged over the year, it is a permanent one.
When the heat/energy enters this small system, and less heat/energy leaves, then this system will get hotter.

The problem is, it will lead to the positive feedback: Warmer globe => more heat trapping (greenhouse) gasses => less heat escapes the earth => even hotter globe => even more greenhouse gasses => ...

When the Icecaps melt, when Permafrost melts, we are done. Runaway climate change, you better think Venus.
