Advertising Push

Kodak Digital Imaging Campaign to Use Wired's Print and Online Properties
To Reach Powerful Wired Demographic

SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Wired Ventures Inc. today announced that Eastman
Kodak Company (NYSE: EK - news) has signed a year-long deal designed to bring its ''Take
Pictures. Further.'' advertising campaign to the technology-savvy audience of Wired's print and
online media.

The campaign, which focuses on Kodak's expanded commitment to digital imaging, takes full
advantage of the cross-media advertising opportunities available from Wired, including co-branded
print magazine inserts linked to interactive Web sites, sponsorship of leading online content,
search-engine advertising by keyword, and traditional banner advertising.

''Web-savvy consumers are a primary target of our 'Take Pictures. Further.' campaign,'' said Carl
E. Gustin, Jr., chief marketing officer and senior vice president, Kodak. ''What better way to reach
the emerging digital nation than with Wired, the leading media company that defined the category.''

Kodak Connects To Wired's Tech Enthusiasts

The campaign kicks off in early January with the first in a series of eight co-branded print inserts in
Wired magazine, currently celebrating its 5th anniversary as the definitive chronicler of the emerging
digital civilization. Wired magazine reaches a monthly rate base of 400,000 tech-savvy users.

The co-branded inserts, which spotlight Kodak's recently launched promotional photo-journey
across the U.S., are designed to showcase in pictures how the emergence of digital imaging has
changed American life in the five years since Wired magazine first launched. The inserts contain
specific messaging related to Wired's 5th anniversary and Kodak's innovations in traditional and
digital imaging. The inserts are linked to the Web via an interactive URL
(www.Kodak.com/go/further) on Kodak's Web site (www.kodak.com). This URL provides visitors
with updated photographs of successive tour stops, galleries of leading digital art, and a place where
visitors can create and send personalized digital postcards via the Internet.

''Since Kodak's Web site recorded more than 66 million pageviews in 1997 alone, the URL is
expected to draw thousands of visitors,'' Gustin noted, adding that Kodak.com has received dozens
of industry awards for Web site excellence.

Wired's Pioneering Online Properties Extend Kodak's Reach

Kodak will further extend its online campaign through targeted media placements and
cross-promotions within Wired's leading online properties, beginning in early January and extending
throughout 1998. Wired's online properties attract over 7 million unique visitors a month and were
recently ranked 20th overall in Web traffic volume by Relevant Knowledge, an online tracking firm
that measures Web site reach.

Kodak will sponsor the graphics section of the popular Webmonkey Web developer site
(www.webmonkey.com) and HotWired member pages (www.hotwired.com) for the entire year. In
addition, Kodak has reserved exclusivity on ''digital imaging'' related keywords on HotBot
(www.hotbot.com), Wired's award-winning search engine, and will introduce a heavy rotation of
conventional banner ads on Wired's flagship properties, including HotWired and Wired News
(www.wired.com).

''With the majority of our users online everyday and using the latest development tools to actively
build the Web, Wired's core demographic of Web enthusiasts is the perfect audience for Kodak's
messages,'' said Rick Boyce, senior vice president of advertising sales and commerce, Wired Digital
Inc.
