I wonder if they might use this new license agreement as an opportunity to correct the wording of the old license agreement. without raising too many eyebrows. (I hope so, but I still doubt it.)


I may have said it less clearly but that's exactly what I was driving at and I don't doubt the possibilities of those things at all...to this skeptic they are likelihoods. To a financially aware investor this phrase isn't a subtle mis-statement:
sales (net of costs)
It's not just uncommon, it's almost unheard of. And ALMOST meaningless...except for that fact that if someone was to ask me "How do you define profit?" or "How do you define income for financial purposes?" that would be an accurate, if clumsy, way to define those things.

So the existing Amended License's use of the phrase "Net Sales" has a VERY different meaning in terms of its universally accepted use. Net sales IS NOT sales net of costs.

I'm tempted to go to Amazon and link a text for Accounting 101 but you can do that as easily as I can. The distinction is THAT basic.

In fact, a while ago I listened to your question and the ensuing noises for a second time but would still like to know from you: Who answered and exactly what was that answer? Please quote the exchange if you have the time and the inclination. It wasn't clear to me, but I'd rather not listen to it again and besides, it's what YOU came away from it with that matters....I'm just a spectator.
