Government is elected by the people. Laws are created by those people to clarify and enforce the Constitution, one provision of which is Freedom of Speech. It is the role of our elected legislators to ensure corporations don't have the power to violate our most fundamental Constitutional freedoms. If corporations are free to do whatever they want, as you seem to wish, then really what we'd have is Fascism. I thought liberals were anti-Fascist, but you seem to be on the other end of the spectrum.
