Again, I generally agree with you. I've said as much myself in other posts, that the Constitution is a RESTRAINT on government. However, we now live in a world where the Supreme Court has essentially said corporations have similar rights to people and have MORE rights than people when it comes to campaign finance, because of their money advantage, and more rights when it comes to free speech, since they control the platforms on which we exercise free speech. The role of government is ultimately to do the will of the people. The will of the people is to engage in free speech, but we can't do it without our elected officials helping us to wrest that power back from the corporations who have usurped it.

You know I'm all for capitalism and I hate Socialism. However, fascism is just as bad as Socialism. Corporations need to be constrained and regulated in the proper ways, otherwise capitalism turns into laissez-faire, and it eats everything, including our freedoms.
