Uh, JB, before we get into this, is this a Devil's Advocate thing or what? Running software Microsoft doesn't like on your computer seems like a pretty lame excuse for "voiding the warranty". The OS isn't supposed to care. It's not like driving your car through the Baja or something, software's not supposed to wear out, right? Microsoft, of course, posts lots of reasons for lots of things. On the legal front, these reasons are often quoted as the final word on the matter around here, somewhat at variance with my understanding of how the law works.

Of course, I haven't seen any followup on this story, when I tried to check Scott's link at Microsoft it was gone. So who knows? Just another thing to watch out for.

Cheers, Dan.
