OK. Brumar, let's do a quick thought experiment here, which demonstrates your lack of logical consistency. My assertion is the people have the right to elect leaders who will protect our right under the Constitution, which includes passing laws and writing regulations to ensure corporations don't trample on our Constitutionally guaranteed freedoms, such as the freedom of speech. You assert that this would be government overreach and that corporations have the right to censor us and government does not have the right to regulate corporations to protect our freedoms.

So let's take this a step further. The Constitution states that no state shall deprive people of life. It's a guarantee of sorts that no law shall be passed that would deprive me of life. So you can't murder me. I have a right not to be murdered. Let's say some company starts a new assassination service, so you can pay to have me murdered. Well, as you know, our government has passed laws making murder illegal. Why? Because citizens have elected legislators to pass laws to protect our Constitutional right not to be murdered. Corporations don't get to act with impunity. Freedom of Speech is the same thing. It's a Constitutionally guaranteed right and our government should protect that right from corporations, just like they protect our right not to be murdered by corporations.

Your logic is not consistent.
