Well, I'm all about MAGA and America First. I'm also on board with most of Trump's policy positions and I'm not embarrassed to say I voted for him. However, I think he's not a good person, as you claim. Unless you know him personally, then maybe you can tell us why you think that. I think what Trump is more than anything is a street fighter. He never gives up. If he was really a nice person, he wouldn't be so good at street fighting. That is what we needed to beat back these crazy Socialist liberals. So I'm a full supporter. Even if I didn't support Trump, I would have never voted for Hillary, because she's a terrible human being and a criminal.
I don't have to like someone to vote for them. I'm a pragmatist. I vote for people who I think will be the best choice for the prosperity of Americans. Trump was clearly the choice for that. However, he is narcissistic. He has a fragile ego. He's unable to keep people on staff, because he's so hard to get along with. And he alienates both friends and enemies. In short, he's a solo Maverick. Steve Jobs was much the same. Great people don't have to be good people.
In short, I don't believe in drinking the koolaid on anyone or engaging in cults of personality. We're not a kingdom. We're a Republic. So I will continue to vote for Trump as long as I think he is good for this country and I will never vote for a Socialist, because my family has direct experience in the evils of Socialism unlike most Americans, who think we can experiment with that cancer here and somehow make it work.
As to which way you'd have voted, I guess in the end it didn't matter. SI Ron decided to keep the swamp thread unmoderated. Too many libs complained to him, so he took the route of leaving things as is, instead of sticking to the original agreement he made with me to go with a popular vote. That's his prerogative and I respect the decision. |
