Humans are notoriously bad at establishing root causes. The solution to "baby" Hitler actually involves getting student Hitler into art school after preventing those who negotiated the punitive Treaty of Versailles from setting up Germany to fail. Any one who thinks that baby Hitler was sitting around in the womb waiting to get out and kill people is missing a whole bunch of initial conditions that all led up to him ever being able to lead a country into a war that killed 80 million Europeans. Killing all Divine Right kings and setting up unions and democracies might be a better place to start if we had an interest in world peace. Colonialism and not letting Japan join the League of Nations (and insulting them in the process when they eagerly arrived hat-in-hand!) - all bad things.
