Alex, Actually, I would prefer to resort to bad grammar than to use he/she/it, or as one wag on another thread put it, "s/he/it." I think such terminology in the interest of gender/sex-neutral (which is it, Alex?) writing/speaking is highly divisive, as is [ethnic origin]-American. When speaking of this, for some reason the word "cleave" comes to mind. I have to leave now--and quickly! Some free-floating radicals are coming at me with tar and feathers! Holly
