Remember when the execs from GM drove to Washington in a Chevy Volt to advocate for bailout money? They promised the Democrats that they would focus on "green" cars that could compete with the Toyota Pious.

Fast-forward to today. When it comes to American-made cars, people don't want golf carts. They want SUVs. They want trucks. They want vans.

Someone please tell Alexandria Occasional-Cortex this. Maybe she can set the Dems straight on bailing out Detroit next time.
