It is easy to fight Rat’s knee-jerk reasoning, harder to fight party ideology. Chesterton said it best... "If you argue with a madman, it is extremely probable that you will get the worst of it...The madman is not the man who has lost his reason. The madman is the man who has lost everything except his reason." In light of the evidence there is no longer really any point arguing with Rat. One quickly comes to the conclusion Rat’s feeble jabs are political in nature and not scientific. The one world socialist movement that invented global-warming also invented settled-science in order to protect their sacred cow, this settled-science is now demanding reparations and punishment for non-believers. Science demands skepticism not a cabal of true-believers.
