Yeah, it seems that way, but it's what makes travel between different parts of the state so interesting. We have three very unique deserts here: The Mohave, the Sonoran, and Chihuahua. But together they cover only about one-third of the state. The rest is Colorado Plateau (Plains) above 5,000 feet, or mountainous alpine forest including the largest stand of Ponderosa Pine in the world.
