Robert,

This doesn't pertain to any of your recent posts but it does provide an interesting perspective from at least one major East Coast brokerage firm. I thought it was worth sharing with members of this 'thread'.

They believe too many people are focused on what is happening with the Dow Jones Industrial average. They believe the broader impacts of the last two months have been on smaller stocks which have created good value and good buying opportunities.

For example, their data suggests that 82% of all NASDAQ stocks have suffered a 10% correction. They go on to say that 61% of all NASDAQ stocks have declined 20% and finally that 44.3% of all NASDAQ stocks have lost at least 30% of their value.

They see this as a major buying opportunity and have advised their clients accordingly. I don't know what the implications of this are for Irvine Sensors, but clearly some people feel there are some good values to be found.

Perhaps this is contributing to the accelerating volume we have seen recently. Like you, I am a realist not an idealist. I don't believe in fairy tales or 'quick bucks'. Jim Evert and his crowd will have to produce or the market will punish them (and should).

Let's hope they are creating value.
