The revenue decrease is probably much more damaging to other
semis in the group. This certainly points to a contraction
of demand and or falling of memory prices. This combined
with price cuts to be announced by COMPAQ on Monday are ceratinly
going to put downward pressure on computer and semiconductor stocks.

What we are hearing from these companies is that PC demand - from
consumer and corporations - is not picking up. Could be even falling
as customers of PCs wait to see better prices, and now, Windows
NT from Microsoft which will not be available till the end of this
year.

And as corporations wait to see better prices for Servers, even the
companies like Digital, Compaq and Hewlwtt Packard will be impacted.
