qdog, can't really let the weekend go by without some SEA stories.

Looks like Philipines may be facing a bigger crisis sooner than many, especially in the labor front. Foreign workers are being sent home from all the ailing economies and the Philipines government does not have any money to even help these workers come home, not to mention finding them a job in the Philipines. Hope it does not impact QCOM's contract too much.

Interesting concept surfaced in HK, suggesting the HK government sell puts instead of raise interest rates to defend the peg. This will be a big show of force and drive the speculators to cover.

Overall picture still looks bad. May be QCOM should step up and do some expansion. They can exploit poor overseas to enrich us shareholders, instead of having to pay exorbernant fees here for the temps.
