Ok, Bob... no BS... just know that ng (with a little oil thrown in) is my 4th largest investment and that as I've posted too often probably, it is my belief we are in early days of major secular bull in ng -- and the good news for you, it's tradable right now because of the near term choppiness in that sector and seems the majority of folks who trade oil and gas stocks or whatever are operating from an old playbook that ignores the fundamental changes... in terms of energy, ng is like coal was at the start of the Industrial Revolution and oil/gasoline/diesel/kerosene was in the early days of the internal combustion engine.

As for what names to trade? Black Blade (if he's the same guy I used to read over at iV when I still was active there) could probably provide some good candidates that are small enough to really move (in both directions) for the next year or two before the entire energy world has an ah ha! moment.

For B&H/DGIers, I'd stick with/start with CVX (which I have) and XOM (can't believe I just typed that -- entire decade or two I wouldn't have touched XOM after their disastrous XTO acquisition (I had a large XTO holding from nearly their beginning) and almost BK'ed XOM... but now the XTO holdings are looking like they will save XOM in the long run.

I'd also consider OXY and COP... most here know I wouldn't touch BP if I were paid to (and they were a regular customer of both OSX companies where I spent most of my career and dealt with them up close and personal regularly since the late 1980s... only worse managed major I can think of would be PBR...

RDS is a good company, but I remember I didn't like the divvy/tax treatment of owning their ADR shares on NYSE.

I find I have steadily dwindling interest in oil specifically, which surprises me...
