Kenneth:

Thanks for your thoughts on tomorrow. Always like to hear a differing opinion. <<I believe this trend would only be exaggerated if the earnings report is as expected or slightly better.>> I think that earnings and CC will be better than "as expected" and even better than "slightly better." I also believe that this channel stuffing issue will be put to rest once and for all. While inventory probably isn't down to three weeks yet, it will be a lot less that last year, and I hope management stresses that point. This inventory issue has been the cause of much concern. As for trading patterns, I think you can throw those out the window tomorrow. I am betting that more people will be buying into earnings than selling. I sure wouldn't want to be short tomorrow. CPQ is down 25% in last few months already, and if you're going to bet on it dropping further from here, you have to hope for bad news Wednesday and I cannot see that happening in any way, shape or form. Bottom line to me is that there are more compelling reasons to be a buyer than a seller right now. The good part is that we will find out real quick who is right. Good luck and feel free to call 'em like you see 'em to me anytime.
