That's Fake News. A false statement is different from a lie. And the Washington Post measuring system was used as the arbiter rather than whether a statement was actually false or not. The Washington Post might have had their measurement wrong [or false, or a lie, or just Fake News].
The positive spin on the article is that it described the interesting betting that takes place on various things that people like to bet on.
Since the Fake News Media make false, dishonest statements constantly, it's amusing that they call the kettle black. They incite violence and murder and that's not so amusing = getting all whiny because Big D exaggerates for emphasis while they incite murder.
Obviously he's a great model for children. Friendly, financially successful, popular, solves geopolitical problems, doesn't smoke or drink, women like him and he likes them, passably good at golf, has a VERY firm handshake which is more of a body pull and arm wrestling challenge for the unprepared, does funny tweets, creates excellent nicknames for the likes of Crooked Hillary, Low Energy Jeb, Crazy Bernie, Lyin` Ted etc etc, great sense of humour, ....
He is a world leader - it's written everywhere. News is full of him.
