One of May Mobility's toughest tests is coming in April or May: While the Woonasquatucket Valley section of Providence may not present some of the obstacles of driving in say, San Francisco, it has something formidable waiting: Rhode Island drivers. (Massachusetts drivers, too, for that matter.) May Mobility CEO Edwin Olson said his company's prepared to accept liability for any accidents caused by its autonomous shuttles. The company already has shuttles operating in Detroit and Columbus. OH. But RI could turn out to be May Mobility's Aberdeen Proving Ground. If it can make it here it can make it anywhere.
