ICS, BlackBerry QNX partnered for safety-critical products for medical device IoT
Integrated Computer Solutions announced that it will offer BlackBerry’s QNX software as part of its touch-enabled devices.
“Committed to developing high-quality software devices, ICS is pleased to expand our ability to deliver comprehensive solutions by joining the BlackBerry QNX Channel Partner Program,” Peter Winston, CEO of ICS, said in a press release. “Our long history of developing software for embedded devices coupled with our user experience expertise, which we offer through our Boston UX division, are the perfect complements to BlackBerry QNX’s high-performance, high-quality operating system technology. This partnership will allow us to deliver best-in-class devices and all the support and services our customers require with ease and cost-efficiency.”
Through the agreement, ICS will sell BlackBerry QNX products and services, which includes the QNX Neutrino RTOS, QNX OS for safety and QNX OS for medical. The company says that the collaboration will allow ICS to build upon BlackBerry’s QNX embedded technologies to give integrated services and design to develop safety-critical solutions for ICS customers in the medical device and industrial IoT markets.
