Might I remind both of you gentlemen that you are espousing Marxism. Taxes should be slashed at all levels. Remember what Reagan said Government is the problem and not the Solution. We do tax the Oil and Gas industry. Most Oil and Gas companies pay "royalties" i.e. taxes to the federal government to extract the mineral before it even comes out of the ground. That money goes straight into the treasury. As far as "increasing the upper brackets" We are a country of INDIVIDUALS period. We do you want to remove our pursuit of life, liberty, and happiness. That is what we do as individuals. If you destroy individuals through taxation you destroy the country. You have to ask yourself who paid for the welfare state before the welfare state existed. Churches and Non-profits supported the welfare state. God reminds us to Love our neighbor, as our self. As far as Scandinavian Socialism it is in a state of collapse due to the muslim invasion. Scandinavian Socialism only appears to "work" do to a homogeneous ethic population. Those people enjoy high taxation and low innovation. The oil and Gas industry was able to satisfy the needs of a SMALL white population, but can't do so now. Yes the welfare state will collapse in the next recession as well as alot of things. Although it will be painful it is necessary. Our world is getting ready to dramatically change just like it did in 1781, 1865, and 1945. G-n-G
