I am not for blow it up and try to rebuild it.
What I am pointing out is a well documented fact that we are at the precipitous of a great societal change that occurs every 80-100 years.
If I had told you 20 years ago that the FBI/DOJ would weaponized for political purposes, that the Democrat party would be for full-blown Marxism, race relations would be worst than in 1964, that gay marriage would be legal, and that Donald Trump would be the Republican President and that the Press would be calling for the impeachment of the president while they ignored the well documented true crimes committed by the previous administration you would have called me crazy.
We need to be discussing how we can dramatically lower taxes, regulations, and any Government power instead of even mentioning something like supporting or increasing welfare.
What we really need to be concerned with is who will be the POTUS after DJT. With DJT we know we have a stalwart firewall against socialism and all its ills, however the next rotation in the Presidency will result in the the greatest power grab we will see in history of the world.
Ask yourself this question? In 1781, 1865, and 1945 did government power decrease or increase? Each time it increased exponentially. I will give you that in 1791 government power was at its least and this should be the benchmark we should measure ourselves in today.
However as soon as the ink was dry on The Constitution and the BOR, politicians immediately started seeking ways to increase the power of the Government and weaken the power of Individuals.
There is no "good way" to give more power to the government even if it is for the "good intentions" of welfare.
I didn't intend to insult anyone but to point out that when someone wants to increase taxes that is a bad thing. Anyone who has lived in a marxist country or has friend who has escaped from a marxist country will quickly tell you that America is slipping fast and that they are appalled that the America they knew as the shining beacon of hope is in extreme trouble. So when I view that type of sentiment I have to respond. If it was too direct then I apologize.
As George Washington said, "Meet me on the battlefield of ideas" that is how I view things here.
