This is beating a dead horse, but...you guys all sound like a bunch of bickering old ladies. It's too tech, no it's not, yes it is....yadda yadda yadda. Get over it. The most intelligent retorts I saw to that whold issue were 'the more posts the better', 'if you don't understand ask', and 'if you don't like a post and don't care to understand it, click Next'.
Warren Buffet, who seems to have done alright for himself in the market, believes that you need to understand what you are investing in. He didn't buy Microsoft until he understood what they did. That's my philosophy summed up too. All the various information should be used together to make your investment decisions. If it's too techy, move on. There WILL be another post.
As for the message I'm replying to from syborg...

What do you mean? I thought that's what ORDBMS was all about? I thought that was one of Informix' strengths? I thought that's what the big deal with Oracle 8 is?
I have db experience, albeit, not in several years, but I can normally speak somewhat intelligently about it. Your post tells me I need to go do some serious reading up. It pretty much blows my whole concept of ODBMS and the future of that technology out of the H2O.
Vin, I have several years of database experience and I know which 7 or 8 posts you were talking about as being way technical. Even I skimmed then skipped that batch.
