"The American Fuel & Petrochemical Manufacturers, which represents 95 percent of the refining sector, has lobbied hard during the past two years against any sanctions that would disrupt imports of Venezuelan oil. The association issued a statement saying it supported the Trump administration's goal to bring change to Venezuela."

Essentially, if you read between the lines, the US refineries were against an oil sanction, because a plan is in place make even more money long term after a regime change.

The bottom line is, regardless of what percentage of Venezuela's problems are internal vs external, this is an attempt by big oil to overthrow a country with the assistance of the US and others.

And you should be hopping mad about it. At least as much so as you were when the Russian's meddled with our elections to get Trump into power. I mean, if Venezuela is standing next to a cliff and we push them over, is that OK? How many people is it OK for us to cause to get killed in the process of forcing this change?

But instead you are supporting/agreeing with Trump's spin...I guess overthrowing countries for oil has bipartisan support.
