That simple exchange can easily take eight hours in deposition and an hour or two testifying.
In this case, Trump would be required to produce the invoice he was paying, Cohen would be required to produce the invoice he sent, which will likely say, "Legal fees." This particular check did not pay the full amount, and the question will be, "Why? If you're paying a bill of $130,000, why did you write a ckeck for a fraction of that amount?" Why was the check written from the account DJT? Can a check written by DJT be an "illegal" campaign contribution, since candidates are allowed to make unlimited contributions to their own campaigns?
