I agree with you about the capture of regulation and the refusal to commit to anti-trust enforcement. As to MMT, you should be very cautious on anything that promises something free. There is one truth in life and that is that there is nothing for free. Someone always pays a price. With MMT, the price will be felt most by the people who think they are getting something for free. Zimbabwe, Weimar, Venezuela, and many other countries have experienced MMT, much to their chagrin.
