I suspect this low latency flash memory will be less expensive than Intel's Optane. This is one more example of WDC continuing to have a cost advantage over its competitors, based partly on the value of the Japanese yen to the dollar. Seems to me that a lot of investors ignore this key exchange rate and the advantages it gives to WDC over its competitors, at least in regard to solid state, non-volatile memory.
