Taxi--I lived five and a half years in Texas so I will translate for you. A blisterin is some would say the mildest of the punishments that a Southerner can deliver, some would say the worst. It is a verbal lashing that would stun the most hardened taxi or truck driver or drill sargent. Southerners are the absolute masters of the English langauge when it comes to cursing and insulting. Strappin, lashin, floggin, and lickin are basically all the same and are normally delivered behind the woodshed to whichever of your offspring has transgressed. Lickin is sometimes applied to a fight one has lost however as in "I got my ass licked". Meaning there were eight of them and one of them got in a lucky punch. A whuppin is a somewhat friendly fight where you had to put a whuppin on someone. Like your cousin who drove your pickup without putting gas in it. A stompin involves a large mud hole with cowboy boot prints being left where your rump used to be. All the Best Druss
