| | | It's called the Echo Chamber. The Echo Chamber is entropic and leads to despair. It's a very lonely place and it only increases self-delusion. There is no learning or evolving in an Echo Chamber. It's just one person looking in a mirror and talking to herself and to doppelgängers of herself. It is the loneliest place in the world. The lefties have that down pat. It's why they are so unhappy, full of rage and jealousy, and increasingly violent in thought, word, and deed. Echo Chambers are an extreme sign of mental instability and create volatility and vitriol.
You'll notice in my profile, one of the things I try to do on these threads is call out hypocrisy and illogic when I see it, in order to learn something myself and help others to learn. That is impossible in an Echo Chamber like HB's. Some folks over there have broken free and will have honest discussions, but many are cowed by her Dictatorial style and afraid to post to any persona non grata that she has expelled, because they are afraid they too will be expelled from her Echo Chamber. That is not Freedom. That is slavery. You and I both and many others on these threads viscerally reject that, because it is in our nature. In part, it's because we are more mentally healthy and open to others and willing to learn and adapt, while still holding true to our values. The path of openness and evolution is much harder, but in it lies growth and happiness and the best thing of all...Freedom. |
