My first foray into trading was early 2000, I raked in thousands, all I had to do was look for a stock that was moving up, buy in and get out with a profit, I thought this was so easy, I bought the big guys like Nortel and Cisco when I got real brave, I had no clue what those companies were about, who cared, I was raking in the dough, I was up $150,000 and was going for 1/2 a million when splat the market crashed, I had never seen a crash before, I could have got out way ahead but I thought the good days would come back, well as we all know that never happened, ended up losing 40k, lesson learned, some lessons are learned the hard way and I have had my share of tough lessons :)
