Your argument makes no sense at all. On one hand you say that a "Democrat Trump" will be a one term president because he will alienate the center (ignoring the fact that there is no center in a polarized country). On the other hand you are worried that Trump may be reelected.

You can't logically hold these two position together.

And for the record, I never said the candidate should be at the extreme left. I said that trying to appeal to Trump supporters is folly and he should focus on the 55+% of the people who are not happy with Trump. As it happens, such a person cannot be centrist. But nor does he have to be a fringe leftie...and no, none of the current candidates are fringe lefties (although some like Warren are quacks).

Go with the one who has the most passionate supporters.
