If I have to choose between a person who has the support of 2/3 of the people and wins the election with a landslide, but will compromise with the racists, is moderate on the environment, and doesn't upset the apple cart for the greedy corporations and one who wins just over 50% of the votes and efficiently implements policies that I agree with, I will choose the latter, even if he is a "demagogue."

If you want to compromise with the Republicans, go right ahead. That is not going to be my choice.
