Great post,, mirroring many of my own thoughts.

Your comment about hope applies to all story stocks, because they are generally promoted and bought based on the hope about what they might achieve rather, rather than more sound economic analysis.

A similar warning sign for me is when someone says they have 'faith' in a company or management. Me, I will stick to trust, which is by definition always being tested with each decision and action, as compared to faith.
